Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our Digicrete Project team as a Research Assistant. The Digicrete Project is a pioneering initiative aimed at advancing the development of more sustainable cement-based mixtures for 3D printing technology in the construction industry.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Strong academic background with a focus on materials science, structural engineering, or construction materials.
- Knowledge and interest in sustainable construction practices and materials.
- Research experience in cementitious materials or concrete technology is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Research and Development:
- Conduct research to explore and develop sustainable cement-based mixtures suitable for 3D printing applications.
- Collaborate with the project team to design experiments, analyze results, and contribute to the formulation of innovative construction materials.
Material Testing and Evaluation:
- Perform laboratory tests on cementitious materials to assess mechanical properties, durability, and environmental impact.
- Work with 3D printing equipment to evaluate the printability and structural integrity of developed mixtures.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze research data and present findings in reports, academic papers, and project updates.
- Contribute to the preparation of research publications and presentations for conferences or journals.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and material scientists, to integrate findings into the overall goals of the Digicrete Project.
- Participate in regular project meetings to share progress, insights, and challenges.
Innovation and Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in construction materials, 3D printing technology, and sustainable practices.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the project’s objectives and outcomes.
